Panoramic Nook is the largest house on the same beautiful property as Forest Nook, located in the hills of Suncuius. This house was carefully moved from Maramures, and it was not easy—it needed special transportation because of its age and size. It’s the oldest house we have restored, and the process was both challenging and rewarding.
The main feature of Panoramic Nook is its custom-made fireplace, which also heats the stairs. This shows how we’ve mixed old traditions with modern design. In the kitchen, you’ll find a traditional oven that fits perfectly into a fully equipped, modern kitchen. The living room is spacious and open, designed for relaxing and enjoying time together around the fire. Upstairs, there’s an open-space master bedroom that feels light and airy. For more privacy, there’s also a second, closed bedroom.
Throughout the house, you’ll find a collection of old pottery, gathered from local artisans, giving the home a special connection to the local culture. Panoramic Nook combines tradition with modern comfort, offering a unique stay surrounded by the beautiful views of Cris Valley. Whether you’re sitting by the fire, cooking in the kitchen, or just enjoying the scenery, Panoramic Nook is a place where old and new come together for a perfect getaway.
Where You Will Sleep
Upstairs, above the kitchen, there is an open sleeping area that can accommodate up to four guests, featuring a queen-size bed and two twin beds. This space can be separated with a curtain for added privacy, and depending on your group size, it will be the main sleeping area we prepare for you. Also upstairs, there is an enclosed bedroom with a queen-size bed, suitable for two guests, offering more privacy with a door. Downstairs, the large 6-meter-long couch can be used for sleeping or napping, providing extra flexibility for your stay.
Area
The surrounding area of Suncuius offers a blend of adventure and relaxation—explore the nearby caves, hike the trails along Crisul Repede River, or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air. We’ve built this cabin as a personal retreat, and we’re excited for you to create your own memories in this magical place.
The house is located in Suncuius, a village in Bihor County, 90 km from Cluj and 60 km from Oradea. Although the area is a tourist destination, the cabin is situated in an intimate natural setting, away from noise and crowds. The property spans 1.4 hectares and offers a wonderful view of the Criș Valley.
It is also les then 15 minutes away driving from some of the most truistic sites from the area like Unguru Mare cave, close to the Vadul Crisului waterfall and many hiking trails.

Unfortunately no. Note that pets are not allowed at Panoramic Nook. This helps us ensure a comfortable and allergen-free environment for all visitors. Thank you for your understanding!
Permission to extend by request only . Our cabins are often booked back-to-back, and our cleaners need time to prepare the cabin for the next guest. We don’t have an area to hang out in while the cleaning is being finished so it’s best to arrive at check-in time.
The kitchen is small and stocked with the basics: electric stove, oven, pots, dishes, spices, dry goods and a small fridge.
Yes. The grill is on the courtyard. We provide everything you need to prepare a barbecue: an axe, wood, and utensils.
We have a DeLonghi Magnifica automatic espresso machine with a built-in burr grinder for our guests to enjoy a fresh coffee in the morning. No need to bring coffee.
The cabin is heated with a wood-burning stove. During the cold season, we will preheat the house before your arrival, and you will maintain the fire in the fireplace according to your desired temperature.
There are numerous trails and tourist activities available in our area. You can find more information on the PadureaCraiului.ro website: Vadul Crișului waterfall and cave, Ungurul Mare cave, a 2-hour easy rafting route on the Criș, or horseback riding with “La Caii Liberi” are just a few of our recommendations.
Within a 15-minute drive, there are several restaurants where you can dine:Casa Veche – serving delicious pizza, burgers, and pasta. We recommend the truffle pizza!
