Hidden Cottage is our newest cabin, tucked away in a quiet and beautiful birch forest in Balnaca Gros village. It was carefully moved from Alba county and is the smallest cabin we have, but it is full of charm, cozy, and chic. The interior is surrounded by old wood, giving it a warm and welcoming feel. Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a unique living room with a large sofa, and a bedroom up on the mezzanine level. The design of Hidden Cottage is perfect for relaxation. It has a mix of bohemian vibes and rustic touches, creating an atmosphere that helps you disconnect from the world and feel at peace.
Outside, there’s a large terrace where you can enjoy a barbecue, relax in the hot tub, or take in the view of the small lake nearby. The lake is perfect for a quiet day of fishing. Hidden Cottage offers a special escape in nature—whether you’re sitting by the lake, relaxing in the hot tub, or unwinding inside its cozy space, this cabin is the perfect spot for your next getaway.
Where You Will Sleep
Upstairs, above the kitchen, there is an open sleeping area that can accommodate up to two guests, featuring a queen-size bed. This open space creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and depending on your group size, it will be the main sleeping area we prepare for you. Downstairs, the large couch can be used for sleeping or napping and can accommodate up to two guests, offering extra flexibility for your stay.
Area
The surrounding area of Hidden Cottage offers a blend of adventure and relaxation—explore the nearby caves, hike the trails along Crisul Repede River, or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air. We’ve built this cabin as a personal retreat, and we’re excited for you to create your own memories in this magical place.
The house is located in Balnaca Grosi, a village in Bihor County, 90 km from Cluj and 60 km from Oradea. Although the area is a tourist destination, the cabin is situated in an intimate natural setting, away from noise and crowds.
It is also les then 30 minutes away driving from some of the most truistic sites from the area like Unguru Mare cave, close to the Vadul Crisului waterfall and many hiking trails.

Unfortunately no. Note that pets are not allowed at Hidden Cottage. This helps us ensure a comfortable and allergen-free environment for all visitors. Thank you for your understanding!
Permission to extend by request only . Our cabins are often booked back-to-back, and our cleaners need time to prepare the cabin for the next guest. There is not area to hang out in while the cleaning is being finished so it’s best to arrive at check-in time.
The kitchen is small and stocked with the basics: electric stove, oven, pots, dishes, spices, dry goods and a small fridge.
Yes. The grill is on the courtyard. We provide everything you need to prepare a barbecue: an axe, wood, and utensils.
Within a 15-minute drive, there are several restaurants where you can dine:Casa Veche – serving delicious pizza, burgers, and pasta. We recommend the truffle pizza!
